Why do we need trees?
One tree can absorb as much carbon in a year that a car produces over 3 years of driving. (Roughly 26,000 miles)
As you can see we need trees, simply to breath fresh air. Without trees, there wouldn't be you!
Amazingly we can reverse global warming, by simply planting more trees.
Doing more with businesses
The Softstep Stamp
Working with companies to make their carbon footprint that little bit softer.
We work with companies to reduce their impact on the planet. It's a simple system where they pay us to plant a tree for every customer, or lorry or anything else they want. We then work with them to quantify their current carbon footprint and to see how much they're offsetting by planting trees.
Similar to an energy efficiency rating on a boiler, we provide the same rating, the SoftStep rating, rating how soft their carbon footprint is.

Planting trees across the world
Currently, we have access to farmland across the UK for growing saplings. We're constantly reaching out to new forestry departments and private forest owners to plant our trees but that's not enough.
Our next step is to replicate this model across Europe and further. Having tree growing nurseries in every country. It's a bold plan, but we'll get there.
Protecting the Amazon
We're now working with Verified Carbon Standard REDD projects. Which allows us to in an official way offset 100's of tonnes of CO2 through a verified route.
The trouble with trees are they don't do what you want them to. Some grow to be giants, some stay small, some get hit by lightening some get covered in ivy. So accurately forecasting the actual lifetime carbon offsetting is near impossible. So companies looking for a verified carbon offsetting project require something else.
Which is where REDD projects come in. We're now starting to work with verified parties who by protecting the Amazon Rainforest from deforestation can accurately calculate the amount of carbon absorbed by the trees we protect. So we're not growing trees out there, we're protecting the rainforest and the animals that live in it. Our goal is to plant 100 trees in the UK for every acre of the amazon we protect.
For those that don't like trees
Sometimes people don't see the importance of things, even though looking after one thing tends to be helping others as well. So for the people that don't fancy donating £7 to plant a tree, how about £7 to help protect the forests endangered species live in?
Well that's our next step! Launching our animal protection team. Protecting their natural habitat while helping to protect the world. It all goes hand in hand in the end!
